4D Planning's Role
4D Planning were instructed to design a large extension to the semi-detached house situated in the Dulwich Estate Conservation Area. We produced the architectural drawings to maximise the house while keeping to planning guidelines and policies. We considered the Conservation Area appraisal and the Dulwich Estate requirements and obtained planning permission from Southwark Council for the works. The works included a large double storey side extension, a very large single storey rear extension, garage conversion, new windows and front landscape design. We liaised with Dulwich Estate to get their approval for the works and for the felling of a small tree. We produced the Building Regulations Drawings and liaised with Building Control, the Structural Engineer and the Partywall Surveyor. We also produced a 3D computer model and visualisations of the property.
